Cincinnati and Hamilton County have a rich 170-year history of excellence in providing essential library services to their communities. With 41 public locations and one-million square feet of public space, the system continues to adapt and change to support the ever-growing information needs of its users. This presentation will focus on the ten-year Facility Master Plan designed to bring continuous improvements to the libraries throughout Hamilton County.

After teaching for 25 years, Melanie Moore had an epiphany about converting her 1962 vintage Volkswagen pickup truck into a “bookstore on wheels.” She’ll share with us how this came about through a variety of “partnerships,” and how she has used her profits to get books directly into the hands of underserved children. This also led to her opening The Book Bus Depot in Sharonville.

The Silhouettes are an outstanding small-mixed show choir comprised of thirty singers/dancers. As Norwood High School's premier vocal ensemble, they travel and compete each year and have earned many awards, including multiple Grand Championships! We know you’ll enjoy these dynamic young singers!

This program will celebrate Cincinnati broadcast history with a special emphasis on the radio station WMKV, Ruth Lyons and Paul Dixon and how their legacies are relevant today.  Our speaker is the co-founder of Media Heritage, Inc., the not-for-profit archival library and museum of Cincinnati radio and television history, based at the Voice of America Museum in West Chester.

Active since 1992, this group has beautifully blended its sounds in a variety of programs and venues, while promoting the dulcimer’s rich history. Learn more about this tradition as you enjoy the soothing and familiar melodies.

The luncheon will be held in the Tea Room at 12:00 PM 

followed by the program in the auditorium.

The Scholar House is an affordable housing community in Walnut Hills that is available to low-income single parents attending post-secondary schools. Their dependent children, who are eligible, can attend an on-site development center which frees the parents to complete their education and find employment. The College Club is proud to sponsor this organization that is helping break the cycle of poverty, two generations at a time.

Our Scholarship Award recipients will be honored at this meeting.

Learn about a unique lifeline for working poor families when it comes to car maintenance. The Samaritan Car Care Clinic works on a referral basis with Northern Kentucky social service agencies to help low-income families with car repairs. Our speaker will review the history of the Clinic, the services it provides and its value to participants and the community-at-large.
