THE NEW HORIZONS DIXIELAND BAND OF CINCINNATI

DIRECTED BY PETE METZGER

The New Horizons Dixieland Band of Cincinnati offers jazz and blues in addition to Dixieland tunes.  The band is composed of men and women and includes five graduates of music conservatories.  The other musicians are amateurs who love playing this peppy and fun kind of music.  Audiences of all ages find the beat and toe-tapping melodies irresistible.  A sing-along featuring holiday favorites will allow the audience to join in the merriment.

Here’s an opportunity to learn some interesting specifics on how life dramatically changed for U.S. citizens on the home front during World War II.
