Steve Ball is a musician from Columbus, OH who specializes in the music of the American Civil War as well as the life of Stephen Foster. His wife Lisa is also a musician who will lend her vocal talents as well as her upright bass to this performance. It’s the 100-year Anniversary of this famous candy business which is still going strong and headquartered in Esther’s hometown of Dayton, Ohio. Did you know that in the 1920s, she made fudge at night to earn extra money for her family and then sold it door to door? Today, many of the company’s products are still handmade and feature Esther’s original recipes. A 13-minute video will be shown.
